What a whirlwind the past few weeks have been!
I took a month off creating (it wasn't meant to be a month but looking back at the last time I posted on here, it was the 13th July, so just over a month, waaah!). Where the bloody hell do I start?!
I've shot weddings all over the country, including one at London Zoo!!
I've kept on top of my existing client work whilst shooting for some new brands.
I've edited, edited, edited, slept (a lot), then ate, and began the process all over again. (Whilst not leaving the house for 5 days straight)
I took some time out to actually live (i.e maintain a social life)
I began to reevaluate my growth, my voice, and I also thought about new directions I'd like to explore within my art.
It's been a journey but I'm glad I took time away from making to regain motivation. I definitely needed it!
Tomorrow I'm heading up to Scotland for a week or so to spend some time creating up there! If you have any more recommendations of places I need to go, leave a comment below!
I also have a new video up on my YouTube, it's the video some of you asked for last week 'CRITIQUING YOUR FINE ART PHOTOS' - go have a watch to see who got featured. Thank you to everyone who submitted their images to my inbox, I wasn't able to get through them all because there was so many, so i'll do another in the future sometime!
Filming that video was super therapeutic for me because through the process of evaluating the work of others, it made me want to pick up my tools again and finish editing this image that I shot on my workshop back in May. I had originally scrapped the images and told myself that I needed to reshoot, but I sat down this afternoon, reworked it, and this is what I ended up with. There's so many faults, flaws, and things I would do different. But I'm back and ready to tell stories again, and that's all that matters to me right now!
